Kanda-Less Poha
Light, fluffy flattened rice with peanuts, curry leaves, and a squeeze of fresh lemon. Our quick no-fuss breakfast that Subal and Keshav love making on school mornings.

Method

Place poha in a colander and rinse gently under running water for 30 seconds. Let it drain for 5 minutes — it should be soft but not mushy.

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.

Add curry leaves and green chilies. Sauté for 30 seconds.

Add turmeric powder and roasted peanuts. Mix.

Add the drained poha, salt, and sugar. Gently mix everything together without breaking the poha.

Cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring gently.

Squeeze fresh lemon juice and garnish with coriander. Serve warm.
